Chapter 111

Dylan made some new friends at school recently.

They really wanted to go to the beach, so Dylan invited them to the beach near her house.

She also invited Wade, of course.

Tiara: "Have you guys ever heard about mermaids swimming around here?"

Lloyd: "Yeah, there's been rumors going around about mermaids being spotted in the ocean recently."
Tanya: "Maybe we could even go searching for them."

Dylan: "Oh, uh... nope. I've never seen a mermaid. Do they even exist?"

Tiara: "What do you mean do they exist?! They're practically sea monsters! Their tails are huge and shiny, you couldn't miss it!"

Dylan: "Welp... I've missed it. I doubt they exist."

Wade knew exactly what was going on. He knew that these people thought Dylan and Wade were mermaids and were trying to prove it. For what reasons, he had no idea.

Tiara: "They have the teeth of sharks! But on the land, they're just regular people."

Lloyd: "How scary do they sound?!"
Tanya: "But if we ever saw one, we would be cool with it. We would never tell anyone their secret. Would you?"

Dylan: "Nope, because I don't even believe in them. Anyway-"

Tiara: "Well, why don't we try to prove it? Come swimming with us and maybe we'll find some mermaids."

Dylan: "I just ate 10 minutes ago, I don't really feel like swimming."

Tanya: "You actually believe in that old dumb rule that you can't swim after eating?"

Dylan: "I don't really wanna take any chances."

Dylan: "Maybe some other time?"

Lloyd: "Come on, we live in Sulani. Swimming is inevitable. Just come with us."

Tiara: "Yeah, it'll be great. Even if we don't find mermaids, we might find some dolphins swimming around."

Wade: "She said no-"
Dylan: "Not today, maybe some other time, though."

Lloyd: "Come on. Last chance."

Tiara: "You in?"

Dylan: "Uh... sorry, but not today, I'm not feeling too great."

Lloyd: "Okay, then."
Tanya: "Suit yourself."

Dylan: "Have fun in the water, Wade and I will wait for you here."

They all ran into the ocean.

Talk about peer pressure.

Dylan: "Ooh, I just got a like on Simstagram!"

Wade: "Don't you think those people were kinda... pushy."

Dylan: "It's not so bad, Wade. They're our friends."
Wade: "Friends? What kind of friends act like that?"

Dylan: "What? So, you don't like them?"

Wade: "Oh, yeah. I really like when people peer pressure me for 10 minutes straight. So do you, clearly."

Dylan: "Okay, smart ass."

Wade: "I'm serious, Dylan. Don't you think these people know more than they're leading on?"

Dylan: "What are you talking about, Wade?"

Lloyd: "You think she thinks we're her friends?"
Tiara: "Yeah, but maybe we should go easier on the whole 'get into the water' thing."

Tanya: "I can't wait until we find out the truth once and for all, and maybe even become mermaids ourselves if she gives up the secret of how she became a mermaid. I think her boyfriend might ruin our plan, though. We have to drive a wedge in between them."

Wade: "Dylan, these people definitely know we're mermaids and they're trying to prove it. Don't be so naive."

Dylan: "What?! You really think they know our secret?"

Wade: "I mean, why else would they pretty much demand you to go swimming with them?"

Dylan: "Could they really know?"

Dylan: "You're just being ridiculous!"

Tiara: "They're already fighting."
Lloyd: "Mission accomplished."

Dylan: "Just be nice to them, Wade. They're letting us sit at the cool table. There's no way they know our secret. Here they come, act natural."

Dylan: "How was your swim?"
Lloyd: "It sure was relaxing, you should have joined us, Dylan."

Wade could see that these people were clearly trying to take advantage of Dylan. He knew she was too stubborn, so he wasn't sure how he was going to get through to her. He also didn't want to cause any conflict between them, he loved her so much.

Dylan: "I hope this didn't cause any upset between us. Can we still sit at your table?"

Lloyd: "Of course you can, we're friends now!"

Dylan: "Thanks, Lloyd."

Wade really didn't want to sit with these people at lunch, but he didn't want to not be sitting with Dylan.

Tiara: "What a nice swim."

Tanya: "You would have loved the water, Dylan. It was so peaceful."

Dylan: "Yeah, I love swimming in the ocean all the time."

Dylan: "Just not today, of course. I still feel... uh... sick."

Tiara: "Well if you love it so much, nothing should stop you."

Wade: "She said she feels sick, no means no. Just let it go."

Tanya: "Okay, jerk. Anyway, we'll see you at school tomorrow, Dylan."

Dylan: "See you at school!"

Tiara: "Just make sure you swim with us next time, or else you won't be sitting at our table."

Dylan: "What?! I'm sorry, I'll swim with you guys some other time!"

Wade: "Really?"

Wade: "Why do you give a crap about sitting with them? And you can't hide from the water forever, Dylan."

Dylan: "I could make up a fake story that I saw the mermaid so that they'll leave me alone."

Wade: "Really? You're that desperate?"

Dylan: "Hey! Don't call me desperate! They're my friends, okay?!"

Wade: "If they were your friends, you wouldn't have to lie just to hang out with them. Anyway, let's stop arguing about this. I don't want this to come between what we have."

Dylan grabbed Wade and kissed him.

She didn't want this to come between them either.

Excuse me, Wade. Move your hand back up.

Dylan: "Did you just grab my-"

Wade: "Yeah... sorry."

Dylan: "Don't be sorry, I'm glad you're finally being confident. I'll see you tomorrow, babe. Love you."

Wade: "See you tomorrow, love you too."

Wade was not looking forward to sitting with those people during lunch.

Ally: "Can you tell the dogs to stop playing in puddles?!"

Don't you think I've tried, ma'am?!

Penelope: "Can I play in the puddles too?"

No!

Sienna: "The waterslide is the next best thing."

Maya: "I got in here just in time, I almost peed on the waterslide."

Ally: "I'm starving, this mac and cheese is taking ages to cook."

Olive: "I'm scared of mac and cheese."

Watermelon: "Why didn't you share any with me?"

Dylan: "You have your own food bowl, use it."

Olive: "Why didn't you share any mac and cheese with me?"

Ally: "You just said you were afraid of it."

Let's hope she doesn't look too much like her mother.

Mintie: "We need a dog play area."

Ally is in labor!

This is the last baby of generation 5, and there has been 8 girls and only 1 boy! This is definitely the generation of the girls.

Dylan's friends all decided to hang out down by the beach again.

Dylan: "Uh... what happened to you guys?"

Tiara: "Don't ask."

Dylan's friends were being rude to Wade all day. He tried to put on a brave face for Dylan, but deep down, his frustrations were building up.

Dylan: "I'm so glad we have new friends, Wade!"

Kai: "You guys won't believe my day! I had a horrible day! Someone stole my chocolate milk from the refrigerator!

Sophia: "It was me."

Lloyd: "You see any sea creatures out there today?"

Dylan: "Huh?"

Wade: "Why would she see any sea creatures?"

Tanya: "We know she likes to swim a lot. She does live near the beach, after all."

Dylan: "Oh... yeah, I love swimming!"

Dylan: "Please don't make me swim."

Lloyd: "So we're not gonna swim today?"

Wade: "Really?"

Dylan: "Haha... uh... not tonight."

Tanya: "Come on! You're so boring!"

Lloyd: "Just get in the water, damn it!"

Wade: "Did you just yell at Dylan?! Do it again and I'll kick your ass!"

Lloyd: "Woah. When did you grow a pair?"

Wade: "When you all started attacking my girlfriend! You've been rude to her and harassing her all day non-stop! All of you!"

Tanya: "I don't think we're being rude to her. Dylan, do you think we're being rude?"

Dylan: "They're not being rude, Wade. Stop yelling at them!"

Wade: "What? Are you serious, Dylan? When did you become such a doormat?"

Dylan: "I'm not a doormat! Just stop yelling at them, you're acting way out of line."

Tanya: "See, Wade? You're the one who's upsetting Dylan, not us."

Wade: "Oh my god, is this really happening?"

Wade: "You know what?"

Wade: "You're all seriously nuts. Why am I even dealing with this?"

Dylan: "Hey, guys! Look at me!"

Dylan: "I'm Wade!"

Dylan: "YoU GuYs ArE aLL NuTs! WhY aM I EvEn HeRe?"

Dylan: "I'm ReaLLy UpSeT fOr No ReAsOn."

Wade: "Really, Dylan? You're gonna defend people who are constantly attacking you?"

Wade: "You know what? Screw this. I'm going home."

Dylan: "Wade?! Where are you going? I was just kidding!"

Dylan: "Sorry, guys. I'll be right back."

Tanya: "Why are you even chasing after him?"

Lloyd: "Because she's obviously desperate."

Dylan: "Wade! Wait up!"

Wade: "What do you want, Dylan?"

Dylan: "Ugh, I don't feel so good."

Dylan: "Where the hell are you going?! I was just kidding!"

Wade: "You think that's why I'm upset?"

Dylan: "Well, why the hell are you upset, then?"

Wade: "Why am I upset?! You're literally defending people who do nothing but put you down and are clearly using you, Dylan!"

Dylan: "Using me?! For what, Wade? What do they have to gain?"

Wade: "Oh, I don't know, mermaid powers!"

Dylan: "Mermaid powers! They don't even know I'm a mermaid! And what guarantees that I'm gonna give them mermaid powers?!"

Wade: "Well, clearly you're a pushover when it comes to them. Congratulations, you've sold your soul to them. I can't even look at you right now."

Dylan: "Wade, I-"

Wade: "I'm leaving."

Dylan: "Wade!"

Dylan: "Wade! Where are you going?!"

Dylan: "You're seriously leaving?!"

Dylan: "Oh my god, what have I done?"

Dylan felt horrible for being the reason Wade left.

Tiara: "He's walking away, yes! She's so stupid."
Tanya: "Shh, here she comes."

Tanya: "You okay, Dylan?"

Dylan: "Uh... yeah, I'm fine. Sorry about that."

Looks like Dylan was cursed with her dad's stupidness.

Lloyd: "He was annoying, anyways."

Tanya: "Yeah, who wants to deal with all that drama?"

Dylan: "Yeah, I guess you're right."

Tiara: "You guess? We're definitely right. We always are."

Tanya: "So, we'll see you tomorrow?"

Dylan: *Sigh* "Yeah, sure. See you tomorrow."

I can't wait for Harvestfest tomorrow!
