Chapter 279

Well, well, well, look who's making the Winterfest grand meal because Servo is too busy.

Delaney: "That would be me. And I'm very proud."

Time to open gifts!

Paige: "I got a new yoga mat? Awesome!"

Brodie: "A lump of clay? Awesome!"

Delaney: "I also got a yoga mat? I wonder what that could be for."

Adam: "Some new skis? I'm too old to even use them!"

Servo: "You know what I got for Winterfest? Nothing but university exams!"

Matteo is upstairs asleep away from all the craziness

Brodie: "You wanna dance to Winterfest music, Marmalade?"

Servo is back to fishing. He needs to catch 20 different fish, which means it's a good time to finish the fish collection. He's gonna take a break from university degrees for a while to help complete some of the Parsons collections.

Speaking of finishing collections, Servo is down at Henford-on-Bagley trying to see if Agnes Crumplebottom is selling any mushrooms that are only found around here. He still needs a charming mushroom, a lovely mushroom, a nightly mushroom and a mysterious mushroom.

Servo: "Hi! Are you selling any mushrooms?"

Agnes: "Only some verdant mushrooms, today."

Unfortunately, the Parsons already have that mushroom.

Agnes was selling a plant the Parsons don't have, though. A wolfsbane! Besides the mushrooms, the Parsons also need a snowdrop, a fang flower, a potato (which I thought they already had) and a U.F.O. (Unidentified Fruit Object) to complete their gardening collection.

Matteo aged up into an infant!

He looks a lot like Brodie.

Aging up means it's tummy time.

Brodie: "Let's see if he likes tummy time."

Matteo: "Waaaa!"
Brodie: "He hates it! What do I do?!"

Adam: "Ham time!"

That looks scrumptious.

Brodie: "This is better than the Harvestfest turkey!"

Paige: "I like the Harvestfest turkey better because Harvestfest is the day we first hung out together and it reminds me of that."

Jellybean has not stopped scratching objects while the Parsons are too busy to stop her!

Paige: "Are you hungry? Here you go."

There's always a random townie in the house lingering in the background. How do they keep getting in?!

Bed time for Matteo.

There's only one way to get a fang flower and a U.F.O. By building a rocket and exploring space. Also, by going to Sixam!

Somehow, Servo got Father Winter to help him build his rocketship.

He also got Sabrina Funke to help out.

After building for hours, the rocket ship is complete!

Sabrina looks very proud.

Servo: "I'll see you soon, my friends."

Please come back in one piece.

Servo: "I have returned! Wait... why did I return just to come back and wait on sims hand and foot?"

Delaney finally got to make her silly gummy bear pancakes.

Paige is living her best life in the bath tub with some cucumbers on her eyes.

Paige: "I'm having a lavender bath."

Brodie: "The lights went out again."

Oh, come on! This is the most annoying N.A.P. ever!

Since the lights went out, this is a perfect time for Paige to meditate with Delaney and Adam.

It's also the perfect time for Servo to garden in the dark.

Paige: "Now that the meditation session is finished, I'm gonna go for a jog."

Matteo reached a milestone and lifted his head for the first time!

What the heck? A stray animal left a bunch of gifts all around this plant.

Still no mushrooms being sold.

Servo is down at Evergreen Harbor!

Right near the Parsons old house.

I heard sometimes, random plants (including the U.F.O.) can be found in the dumpster. However, there was literally nothing in the dumpster.

I guess Servo can't take the easy way out of this one.

Back into space he goes.

Paige saw the infamous Nancy the Mailwoman while jogging!

Servo: "This rocket is gonna need some upgrades if we're gonna find any plants in space. I can barely fly near the moon!"

When the TV doesn't work, the next best thing is a book.

Servo found a snowdrop in one of the thousands of seed packets the gnomes left around! He also found a potato.

I may have also spent over 50,000 dollars worth of simoleons in rare seed packets trying to find a U.F.O. There were none, but the Parsons found a bunch of magic plantsim beans and completed that collection. Maybe someone will be able to become a plantsim one day with these?

Matteo learnt to roll over!

Adam: "I am one proud grandpa."
Paige: "Yay, Matteo!"

Adam has voted to end the power conservation N.A.P. since it's the most annoying thing ever.

Paige has managed to get Delaney into meditation.

Delaney: "I feel quite relaxed."

It's New Year's Eve time! 🎉🥳

Paige and Delaney went down to the nearby park to do some yoga since there's no room in the backyard.

I think the gardening bot is broken. It's been watering the same plant for three hours.

Paige: "First, let's stretch."

The garden is thriving today!

Brodie: "What the heck is this, Jellybean?!"

Jellybean brought home some feathers as a gift. How... kind?

The carrot plant has evolved into perfect quality!

Matteo learnt to sit up! Now, he can try some new foods in the highchair.

Paige: "Let's see if he likes mashed mangoes."

One can only hope.

He loves them!

A lot, apparently.

Paige: "What the heck? I just tried some and it tastes awful!"

Paige: "I'm glad he likes them, though!"

Paige: "Alright, now for bath time."

Matteo doesn't look happy about that.

Brodie may be exhausted, but he went to space and it was totally worth it!

He found a U.F.O.! Hooray!

Servo: "I can't believe he found it and I couldn't find it after going to space five times."

Servo also attempted to plant the cowberry in the gardening room, but it didn't let him.

He'll have to plant it in the front yard. This might scare the townies enough into leaving the Parsons alone and stop barging into the house.

The U.F.O. plant looks very interesting.

Paige managed to get Delaney back in the park to do yoga at the crack of dawn.

Brodie: "Come on, Matteo. Crawl over there, you can do it!"

Oh lawd! Delaney may be an elder, but she can do a handstand better than most young sims!

Brodie: "He did it! He's crawling!"

Hooray, Matteo!

Paige is back down at work at the spa. Doreen is here, too.

Paige: "Are you ready for your pedicure?"

Doreen: "I sure am! I want red nail polish."

Paige: "First, a file."

Paige: "Now, for some paint."

Paige also gave Doreen a Swedish back massage.

And a meditation session.

Back at home, these two are sitting together and I have no idea why.

Matteo: "D-d-dah?"

Marmalade: "I will protect this adorable human at all costs."

Oh my gosh!

This is the cutest thing ever!

Everyone: "Shashoobee!"

Everyone: "Happy New Year!"

The cowberry has sprouted!

Paige is pregnant again!

Delaney: "Jellybean, stop eating the grilled fruit."

Jellybean: "But, I like grilled fruit!"

Will Matteo like mashed avocados?

Adam: "Here comes the airplane!"

Matteo: "Hahahahaha!"

Adam: "An airplane made of mashed avocados, that is!"

Paige: "Soon, he'll be able to eat grilled fruit like a true Parsons."

Paige is back down at work today and she looks oh so excited.

Doreen is back.

She's getting an aromatherapy back massage.

Servo: "Have you ever tried to follow your dreams and pursue your dream career?"

Masseuse: "I quite like my career."

Servo: "Do you? Do you really?"

Masseuse: "Yes. I don't want any unsolicited life advice right now."

Paige: "What the heck is Servo doing?"

Servo: "I'm tired of trying to convince townies to let me influence their lives. This is a little bit of payback."

Masseuse: "Huh? What are you-"

Oh my gosh, Servo!

Servo: "Hehehe! You just got FROZE!"

Masseuse: "Can't... feel... my... lips!"

Masseuse: "I'm gonna go warm up in the spa locker room shower."

Every single townie that Servo tries to even talk to completely leaves the building!

For now, he can work on the 'City Native' aspiration since he's in San Myshuno.

He needs to order food three times from food stalls.

Even though he can't eat it.

Paige is once again meditating with Doreen.

Meanwhile, Servo is working on the 'Joke Star' aspiration. He has to be funny to five sims.

Speaking of aspirations, Paige finally maintained a regular customer long enough to complete that goal in her aspiration! She will fully complete the 'Self-Care Specialist' aspiration in no time.

Back at home, Adam's constant low skill cooking seems to have caught up to him.

Adam: "Ahh! Help me!"
Delaney: "Why the heck did I run up so close to the fire?"

Servo: "Don't worry, I'll solve this."
Brodie: "Your freeze ray is way cooler than my fire extinguisher."

Adam: "I'm still on fire!"

Adam: "Ugh, now I'm singed. I need a shower."

I told you to stop cooking, but you never listen to me.

Brodie: "That was so scary!"

Adam: "In the shower I go."

Servo is working on the next upgrade of his rocket ship so he is able to travel to Sixam and harvest the fang flower! Maybe he'll see Servella there.

Guess who's birthday it is?

Matteo aged up into a toddler!

Brodie: "He still looks just like me."

Brodie: "Now you can use your big boy bed for the first time, Matteo."

Brodie: "Once upon a time, there lived two dinosaurs... who hated each other? What kind of story is this?"

Paige: "You can also eat your first bowl of cereal, now."

Matteo: "Yummy!"

The turtle enclosure sure does get dirty a lot.

Delaney: "It's worth cleaning the turtle enclosure when the turtle is as cute as you, Maximus!"

I've lived a long life, but it's time for me to go.

Wait, what?! Nooooooooooooooooo! Delaney!

Delaney: "Don't miss me too much."

Delaney: "Take care of my Trendi account for me."

Rest In Peace, Delaney Parsons. You were the most fashionable sim in all the land. You will be dearly missed.

It's always so sad when everyone in the family discovers what's happening.

Grim Reaper: "Hello, old friends."

Poor Adam is devastated.

He doesn't know how to go on, but he knows he has to be there for his family.

Paige: "The Grim Reaper will pay us another visit soon according to the future cube?!"

Adam: "I hope it's not talking about me."

Brodie: "On the bright side, we received something very honorable in the mail today."

That's right! The Parsons recieved the 'Go, Green Thumbs!' award from the Sim Gardening Society! It's for having every single base game plant in the game! What a wonderful achievement. Joey and Rylie would be very proud.

Brodie: "Man, gardening isn't easy. How does Servo do this every day?"

*Sigh* Of course, as soon as I send Servo to upgrade the rocket ship, it starts raining. He's still going to do it, though. The upgrade is almost finished.

The masseuse from the spa found her way into the Parsons house.

Finally, Servo has completed the 'Wormhole Generator' rocket upgrade! This means, he can finally travel to Sixam.

Servo: "So long, friends. I shall return."

Woah...

Servo travelled in the rocket ship and made it to Sixam!

Servo: "This place is so cool!"

I see a lot of collectable items around here. This would be the perfect time for Servo to work on 'The Curator' aspiration.

Servo: "Wait... is that who I think it is?"

Servella: "Hey, dad! What are you doing here?"

Servo: "Servella! It's great to see you!"

Servella: "It's great to see you, too!"

We interrupt this program to show you the beautiful sky of Sixam. Okay, continue.

Servo: "I'm here to find a fang flower and hopefully some other alien collectable items to add to the family collectables."

Servella: "Ooh, that sounds so cool! There's collectables everywhere, and I just saw a fang flower tree not too far from here."

This alien just got off from her 9-5.

Servo: "Ooh, what's this? A space rock?"

Servo found an alien pet in this rock!

There it is... the fang flower tree.

Servo, stop digging and harvest those fang flowers!

Servo: "I got them! I'll also take a microscope sample from this tree for our microscopic prints collection."

More space rocks!

Chloe: "I like space rocks."

There's so many collectables around here!

Servo needs to go home now, though.

He'll be back soon!

The reason Servo had to go home was so he could travel to Henford-on-Bagley before 5AM to collect the mushrooms once they sprout. Until then, he can sleep standing up.

It's officially 5AM and the mushrooms have sprouted!

Servo: "We already have this mushroom."

Servo: "This one, too."

Servo: "Aaand these mushrooms, also."

Aww, man.

Servo at least found a nightly mushroom! They don't fully grow until winter, though, so he'll have to wait a while before collecting this mushroom since it's still spring.

Servo: "Why aren't any of the shops open?"

Apparently, the don't open until 9AM.

At least Servo can catch up on some sleep, now.

The gardening shop wasn't selling any mushrooms. On the bright side, Servo can now plant the fang flower!

I can't wait to see it grow.

Paige has been in labor for quite some time back at home.

Servo is back at Sixam to collect some more collectables.

There's so many things here that the Parsons don't have yet.

Servella has been spotted once again!

Servella: "Go, dad! I know you'll collect everything eventually!"
Servo: "Is my daughter the only sim that's ever encouraging?"

Servo found so many collectables today! Time to head back home.

Back at home, Servo and Bonehilda are showing too much affection in front of other sims once again.

Adam has been trying to make more friends since Delaney passed away.

This is the perfect time since townies keep barging into the house non stop.

Servo: "I got you a chrysanthemum for Love Day, my love."
Bonehilda: "It's beautiful."

Brodie: "Why didn't Paige get me a chrysanthemum for Love Day?"

What the heck are y'all doing?

Seriously?! Well... I guess it is Love Day, so I can't judge.

Matteo: "Look at the peas flying in the air!"

Hey! That's wasteful!

Brodie: "I know it's not much, but since purple is both of our favorite color, I got you this crocus for Love Day."

Paige: "Aww, babe!"

Paige: "It's so beautiful."

Brodie: "I'm glad you like it."
Paige: "I love it!"

Paige: "You're so sweet, babe."

Brodie: "Right back at ya."

Brodie: "So... what did you get me for Love Day?"

A kiss, apparently.

Poor Adam.

He misses Delaney so much, especially today.

Well, well, well, look who's returned.

Servo: "Best. Rocket. Trip. Ever."

Kristina aged up into an infant!

It's tummy time!

Paige: "Come on, Kristina! You can do it!"

Kristina: "Waaaa!"

The cowplant has fully grown!

Which means, Servo has completed the 'Freelance Botanist' aspiration!

His reward? He gets to feed a hungry cowplant.

Luckily, nothing went wrong this time.

Since Servo completed that aspiration, he can work on the 'Angling Ace' aspiration once again.

I also want the Parsons to complete their fish collection. The first fish I want Servo to catch, the anglerfish, can only be caught in Sylvan Glade with bass or catfish as bait.

Servo: "I think this is the entrance."

Servo: "Here goes nothing."

Servo has made it to Sylvan glade!

He doesn't have many bass or catfish in his inventory, so I'm not sure he'll catch the anglerfish this time.

Servo: "At least I caught this time capsule."

Servo: "This fish is huge! But, it's not the fish I'm looking for."

Servo ran all out of the correct bait. At least he can spend this time looking for some frogs, now.

Servo: "Maybe I'll find some other fish in this pond."

After leaving Sylvan Glade, Servo travelled back down to Henford-on-Bagley. Maybe if he befriends the birds, they'll eventually give him one of the mushrooms as a gift.

Aww, man.

He still couldn't find any that the Parsons didn't already have.
