Chapter 281

Servo is out fishing for a koi fish once again.

Meanwhile, Paige is in the nearby gym looking oh so happy to be there.

Paige: "Ugh! Take that, punching bag!"

Since there's a yoga room, she decided to host a class.

Servo still has yet to find a koi fish.

I've never seen this place so busy... it's a heatwave, though!

 

Paige: "Who thinks they're flexible enough to do this pose?"

Atlas: "Not me, I'm outta here."

Paige: "Namaste."

Back at home, the lights are out once again. Would we expect anything else?

I knew the power was out as soon as I saw Adam reading.

Adam: "The lights are back on, I can finally watch TV!"

Will Chase crawl today?

Brodie: "Come on, Chase! You can do it!"

Servo: "Ah! My watermelon umbrella!"

Servo purchased some bass fish from the grocery market in Henford-on-Bagley to use as bait for the koi fish. He also purchased a wolf eel and a trout to add to the Parsons fish collection since they don't have those fish yet.

Back down to Oasis Springs he goes.

Paige is hosting more yoga classes while Servo fishes.

Still no koi fish.

Servo: "Wait, I've got a bite!"

Welp, it's not a koi fish, but it's a fish the Parsons don't have yet! I wasn't expecting to find a tambaqui fish in Oasis Springs, I thought it'd be in Granite Falls.

Brodie is here to help dig up some potential treasures.

Paige: "I wanted french fries, not baked potato."

They're pretty much the same thing.

Kristina: "Look at my talking llamacorn toy!"

Marmalade: "That thing talks?!"

Brodie: "Come on, Chase! You can do it!"

Servo has been running all day long and still hasn't gotten tired. This is one of the few aspirations Servo might not be able to complete.

Brodie: "I bet you'll love this baby food."

Brodie: "Who wants ice cream?"

Chase: "Eeee!"

Brodie: "Here comes the airplane!"

The fang flower tree is growing more the more by the day!

Kristina: "I'm gonna miss grandpa."

Even the pets are sad.

Grim Reaper: "We meet again, my friend."

Grim Reaper: "Hey! Don't try to eat me, that's impossible... right?"

Brodie: "That would be a sight to see."

Paige: "A horrifying one."

Once again, Servo is down at Oasis Springs looking for a koi fish.

Paige is back to teaching more yoga classes at the gym.

Only one sim attended the early morning class.

Paige: "Now, into a backbend..."

Sidney: "Does she really expect me to do that?"

More sims showed up to the next class.

Even Chase is here!

Chase: "Can we play trucks during yoga class?"

Paige hosted a family friendly class so the kids could join, too.

Matteo: "I hope this is easy."

Brodie: "These are the best dance moves in town."

Chase: "I love dancing!"

Brodie: "That's my boy."

Brodie: "I don't wanna go home. I wanna keep dancing."

Too bad, Chase needs a nap.

Servo still has yet to catch a koi fish. Come on! I CAN STILL SEE YOU!

Hooray! After earning over 5,000 simoleons by offering spa services, Paige has completed her aspiration 'Self-Care Specialist'! I'm so proud of her!

Paige: "As you should be."

Marmalade aged up into an elder and then started running around immediately.

Chase: "Pancakes for breakfast? Yummy!"

Paige: "Who wants some delicious food?"

Paige: "Ah!"

Paige: "It almost bit my entire hand off!"

Brodie: "Hey, I think grilled fruit is becoming my favorite food!"

The Parsons bathroom curse never fails to return.

Chase: "I love blocks!"

Paige: "He loves dancing and blocks? He's a true Parsons child through and through!"

Kristina: "Put a bear in the air if you're excited it's the weekend!"

Apparently, this levels up the movement skill extremely fast.

I feel like building a tower with blocks moves it up quicker, though.

Paige: "Now that I've completed my aspiration, what's next in store for me?"

Paige: "Like... is that really all there is?"

Uh oh, is there another midlife crisis on the way?

Paige: "Maybe riding my bicycle will help me feel better."

Are you tired yet, Servo?

Servo: "Not even close. The only thing I'm tired of is this family."

Matteo: "I can't believe we're stranded on a deserted island!"

Kristina: "Hey, I see a coconut tree!"

Kristina: "I also see a telescope... how did that get here?"

It began raining, so Servo brought his huge exercise machine inside.

Chase: "Wow! Servo is strong!"

While Kristina was looking through the telescope, there was a pop-up that a meteor was approaching! Luckily she's in the tree house, so nothing ended up happening. Phew!

Paige: "I feel way better after that bike ride."

Paige: "Hey, this cake looks delicious!"

Paige: "Thanks, cowplant!"

Paige, no!

Uh oh!

Hey! Spit her out right now, cowplant!

Cowplant: "ACK!"

Paige: "Ugh!"

Paige: "Eww! Did the cowplant just swallow me whole and spit me back out?!"

Paige: "That was horrible. Now I'm terrified of the cowplant for life. I'll never go near it again!"

Kristina: "I almost got hit by a meteor and mommy got eaten by the cowplant in one day?"

It's an unlucky day for the Parsons.

Stay indoors where it's safe.

At least Paige can milk some of her emotional essence from the cowplant.

Paige: "I said I don't want to be near the cowplant ever again!"

Paige: "I'm going inside far away from that thing!"

I give up. Servo just doesn't get tired, so he can't complete this aspiration, unfortunately.

The collection room fits again! How, you ask?

I remembered that you can have two stories of basements, so I put the collection room below the gardening room!

I'm determined to fully complete this collection room.

Servo is back down at Henford-on-Bagley, and I happened to capture an adorable little turtle sitting on a log.

While waiting for the mushrooms to sprout, Servo found where Caramel lives and went to say hi to him!

Servo will be able to befriend him easily. He's very good with animals.

Servo: "Maybe he'll give me the mysterious mushroom as a gift."

Ooh, looks like Caramel has a gift for Servo already.

Servo: "Who's the most adorable bunny ever? You are! Yes, you are!"

Will Servo catch a koi fish today? We can only hope.

These three are back down at the gym today, too.

Chase is leveling up his skills super fast!

Brodie: "Why do we always come down here during heatwaves?"

Paige is levelling up her fitness skill while riding her bicycle.

Finally! Servo caught a koi fish!

It looks lovely swimming with all the other fish.

Next, Servo needs to catch a piranha. Apparently, the best place to do that is in the area at the very back of the Oasis Springs park.

Chase, what are you doing here?

Chase: "I followed Servo here."

Servo has been fishing all day and still hasn't found a piranha. *Sigh*

After giving up on fishing for the day, Servo headed down to Henford-on-Bagley to look for the mysterious mushroom again only to be struck by lightning somehow while hiding from the raging thunderstorm underneath a gazebo.

Servo: "Hey, I feel energized after that!"

It's lottery day! The Parsons have over 9 million simoleons, but are still going to enter anyway since they've never won the lottery.

Since Servo can't complete the 'Bodybuilder' aspiration, he's going to be working on the 'Master Maker' aspiration instead. First, he needs to recycle some materials.

Paige: "Look how cute my little teapot is!"

Paige: "I'm going to have a relaxing morning with some biscuits and hot tea."

Who the heck is responsible for this?!

Jellybean: "Not me, blame the dog. Cats are too graceful for that."

Since Servo hasn't had any luck so far finding a mysterious mushroom around the park area, he decided to try and run some errands for the townsfolk in the hopes that they'll eventually give him a mysterious mushroom as a reward.

Servo: "Hey, there! Do you have any errands you need me to run? I'm good at doing things for sims and getting little to nothing in return."

Agatha: "I'll be the first to tell you, I love a good raspberry. It's my favorite fruit, don'tcha know? For some reason, admitting this to others results in peals of laughter. You're not going to laugh at me, are you? No? Good! Get moving then and get me a raspberry please.

Servo: "Hmm... seems simple enough. I have a raspberry bush in my home garden."

Servo: "Hey, Agnes! Do you have any errands you need help with?"

Agnes: "Not right now, dear. I also heard you've been seen canoodling with Bonehilda. If I catch you two kissing, watch out! My purse is ready and waiting!"

Woah! Is that a threat, Agnes?

Servo: "Maybe someone left a mysterious mushroom by Sally the Snail."

Servo found the Creature Keeper's son. He asked for some chocoberries and some spicy mushrooms, which Servo had ready in his inventory.

Creature Keeper's Son: "If I give these berries and mushrooms a bit of a mash, we'll have a concoction that'll be sure to impress. Here, give this a taste! It's a staple food item in Henford-on-Bagley!"

Servo isn't able to taste the mushroom mash, but luckily someone else is...

Servo: "Thank gosh for Paige, or I wouldn't have been able to complete this errand!"

Paige: "Hmm... this tastes amazing!"

The next part of the quest was to talk to the birds in the tree stump, but since there's a thunderstorm, none of them are around right now.

Paige: "We can always try again tomorrow!"

Y'all look very happy after school.

Brodie: "Hey! Is this cake for me?"

Brodie, no!

Oh no, another victim of the cowplant. Spit him out, now!

Cowplant: "ACK!"

Brodie: "...What just happened?"

Brodie: "Eugh! That was disgusting!"

Don't let it be in vain, milk that emotional essence!

The Creature Keeper's son came by to ask Servo to be BFF's while he's in the middle of crafting with the evil fabricator.

Oh, come on! Another fire?!

Paige: "I was just trying to make some hamburgers!"

Servo and the freeze ray to the rescue!

Paige: "Can I try and cook again even though I just stared at the washing machine spinning for five minutes straight?"

No way.

Jellybean, stop it!

It's Harvestfest time! 🦃🍁🍂

Aaand of course, as Servo begins to prepare for cooking the turkey, the power turns off once again.

Chase: "I'm scared of the dark!"

Servo: "Does that mean I don't have to cook the Harvestfest turkey anymore?"

Bonhilda: "Why is the power always out at this place?"

Blame the stupid N.A.P's!

Since Servo can't make the Harvestfest turkey right now, it's back down to Oasis Springs to fish for a piranha.

Brodie: "What do we say when we want to ask for something?"

Chase: "Please and thank you... or GIMME NOW!"

Paige is super close to mastering the fitness skill.

All she needs to do is ride her bicycle around again.

Paige: "Maybe my energized cowplant essence will help."

Paige: "Hey, it did the trick! I guess I didn't get eaten by the cowplant for nothing."

Paige: "Outta my way, townies!"

Hank the weirdo is hanging around the park.

He needs a nap. It must be hard work being a weirdo.

Hooray! Paige has reached level 10 of the fitness skill!

Paige: "That means I'm gonna live super long. You'd better get used to me!"

VJ Alvi: "That's a cool dino hat you have there!"

Chase: "Thanks!"

VJ Alvi: "I have a real mowhawk, dinosaurs have fake look-a-like mowhawks."

Chase: "Don't say bad things about dinosaurs!"

Brodie: "Chase, don't yell at-"

VJ Alvi: "OW! He kicked me!"

What are those shoes?

Brodie: "Chase, what did we just learn? Say you're sorry."

Chase: "I'm sorry for kicking you. I won't do it again unless you say something bad about dinosaurs again."

Brodie: "What's this, Chase?"

Chase: "A large, flightless seabird of the southern hemisphere, with black upper parts and white underparts, and wings developed into flippers for swimming under water."

Brodie: "..."

Matteo and Kristina came to the park immediately after school.

Kristina found the perfect place to do her homework: at a wedding arch.

Still no piranhas. It's time to head home.

Brodie: "It's still dark in here?"
Matteo: "Aww, man!"

Servo: "This means I don't have to cook the Harvestfest turkey, right?!"

Wrong. Since the lights are back on, get back to cooking that turkey!

Paige: "Yay! I appeased a gnome!"

Paige: "Hey... wait a second..."

Why is it always the creepy naked gnome?!

Brodie: "Did I appease the alien gnome?"

Brodie: "I did it! I conquered my fear of gnomes! Now, I just have to get over my fear of spiders, snakes, the dark, social interaction, llamas, blinking lights, cheesecake..."
Paige: "Great job, babe."

This gnome is nightmare fuel. No wonder Brodie has it in his list of fears!

Matteo: "Did the gnome like my gift? I gave it a future cube."

Matteo: "It loved it!"

Uh... that's not what that flame means, Matteo.

Matteo: "Huh? What does it mean?"

It hates your gift.

Brodie: "I'm just glad it wasn't me."

Matteo: "Please forgive me, gnome!"

Matteo: "It didn't forgive me!"

Brodie: "Now that I've conquered my fear of gnomes, they'd better leave my son alone, or else!"

Or else what?

Brodie: "Or else I'll apologise for any bad gift it's ever received in it's life and beg for forgiveness."

Brodie: "Hey, I think that worked!"

Chase: "Do the gnomes like trucks?"

Servo: "Turkey time!"

It may be late at night, but it's never too late for some turkey during Harvestfest.

Brodie: "Doesn't this bring back memories, honey?"

Paige: "It sure does! This turkey has always been delicious!"

Kristina: "I'm glad we still get to gave some turkey even after the power was out all day!"
Matteo: "I'm never going near a Harvestfest gnome again."

Chase: "Turkey!"

Brodie: "Is anyone else going back for seconds?"

Brodie: "Do you remember how to stack a tower, Chase?"

Chase: "Like this?"

Paige: "Maybe there's some hiding in this pile of dirt outside the Creature Keeper's son's house.

Paige: "Hey, Creature Keeper's son!"

Creature Keeper's Son: "Oh, hey guys!"

Paige: "Do you have anymore of that mushroom mash so we can complete your quest?"

Creature Keeper's Son: "Yeah, I have some on me right now. Here you go."

Paige: "It looks just as delicious as last time."

Paige: "Alright, what's the next part of the quest?"

Talk to some birbs from the tree stump.

Paige: "Hi there, birbs!"

Paige: "I heard you guys were besties with Servo."

Servo: "You heard right. Don't steal my besties."

Paige: "Do you guys like mushroom mash, too?"

Bird: "We love it!"

Paige: "I knew it! I have some new birb BFF's."

Paige: "I talked to the birds and found out they love mushroom mash, too."

Creature Keeper's Son: "That's right, everyone in Henford-on-Bagley loves it! It's a staple food item."

Paige: "I can see why! Anyway, do we get a prize now for completing your quest?"

Servo: *Sigh* "This prize still has no mysterious mushroom. Only a verdant mushroom which we already have."

Paige: "Welp... guess that was all for nothing."
