The Parsons Legacy: Chapter 356

Servo is down in the Bramblewood in Henford-on-Bagley to harvest 5 plants for his aspiration.

Unfortunately, this was the only plant in season.

He also needs to continue giving gifts to foxes, rabbits or birds, so this is the perfect place to do so!

Servo: "Hello, my birb friends!"

Servo: "Please accept this bird of paradise flower as a gift."

Servo: ♫ "La, la, la, la, laaaaa!" ♫

The birds are loving Servo's singing!

They even gave him a gift in return!

Servo also gave a gift to this adorable rabbit!

Servo: "I guess he didn't like it."

Back in Gibbi Point, Preslie is back to doing some outdoor activities for her career.

The triplets love when the party bot plays kids radio music!

Preslie never misses an opportunity for a butterfly catching pitstop.

Zaylee: "That must be nice. I'm inside crafting jewelry all day, so I wouldn't know what it's like catching butterflies."

The Parsons butterfly and moth collectable plaque has arrived in the mail!

Cody has managed to reach level 10 of the gemology skill from crafting jewelry all day.

Cedar thinks he's a chicken at this point. He's always outside in the chicken pen.

Preslie is forging on with the Peculiar Plumbird quest. She needs to find the plumbird cave painting. While she's here in Crystal Valley, she successfully won a collectable from Buddy with a game of rock, paper, scissors!

Preslie: "Hooray! I won!"

It took me way too long to find this plumbird cave painting.

Preslie: "Off I go to examine it!"

Preslie: "Wow... this may not be a cave anymore since the cave appears to have collapsed overtime, but this really shows the evolution of plumbirds."

It appears they started off small and grew over time!

Preslie: "Do you happen to know why plumbirds changed in size over the ages, Buddy?"

Buddy: "A lot of elders who were here before said that the size of plumbirds changed over time and that they started avoiding sims, especially around when the jellyfish started showing up in the Electric Lagoon. I don't blame them!"

Cody: "Those elders are a lot smarter than me."

Most of Servo's oversized crops have finished growing!

Tanner aged up into a young adult! Now, get out.

Preslie has continued to ask the locals all around Gibbi Point about plumbirds and seems to have all the information she needs. Now, all there is to do is reveal the Peculiar Plumbird's truth.

Ian: "I'm sick of eggs and toast! It's not so egg-cellent anymore."

Whitney: "If you think you're sick of eggs and toast, imagine how sick we are of your puns!"

Ian: "BURN! ...Wait... that was aimed at me, wasn't it?"

The paparazzi are never as intrigued by Servo more than when he's feeding the chickens, for some reason.

There's another archery contest happening! This is the perfect opportunity for Preslie to finally max out the archery skill.

Preslie: "Bullseye incoming!"

...Not quite.

Preslie: "You never saw that."

This looks like the perfect place to have a kayaking contest!

Preslie may not have gotten a bullseye, but she did, however, max out the archery skill! Hooray!

Now, she can reveal the Peculiar Plumbird's truth and complete the final quest!

Preslie: "Pruella! I've been fascinated with your species and have been tirelessly researching day and night to find out your origins. I've gathered so much information from Gibbi Point locals and from my own finds. The jellyfish, the butterflies and lava, the everchanging size of plumbirds! It's fascinating!"

Pruella: "Wow, you did all that work just to find out more about the magnificent, marvelous plumbird? I'm so impressed!"

Pruella: "I really didn't realize how much you—and every other sim here—cared about those fine feathered friends of mine. I feel like maybe this is a chance for me to open up a bit more and truly be the bird I was meant to be. You know, a bird here to spread positivity! Anytime you have big feeling to talk about, you can talk to me. Or maybe you can just ask me for a hug sometimes!"

Preslie: "You read my mind! SUPERHUG!"

Preslie has completed all of the Peculiar Plumbird quests and can enjoy an enhanced dynamic with the Peculiar Plumbird and give her a SUPERHUG!

Preslie: "That was worth every bit of extensive research."

Preslie: "It has been an honor to learn about plumbirds all the way to their roots."

Back at home, Crystal is playing with the Parsons kids all-time favorite toy: the stacking blocks!

Preslie is also attempting to max out the entomology skill for her aspiration.

She's raising some caterpillars to help with this!

She also needs to research mating rituals of butterflies and moths.

Examining all of the butterflies and moths her and Servo have caught should help raise her skill, too.

Ooh, the Glow and Flow Festival is on! Maybe this is a chance to catch the astral pro-jellyfish?

Oop- looks like this sim has some astral pro-jellyfish on the BBQ.

If anyone can catch it, it's Servo!

There's lots of sims at the festival swimming and kayaking in the gorgeous crystal blue waters.

Servo: "No luck fishing in that spot, but I have an idea."

Maybe Servo taking his sailboat and fishing directly in the middle of the water will work?

Preslie is also down at the festival to try and catch the astral pro-jellyfish!

And do some kayaking, of course.

After doing some research online and only managing to find one random Instagram photo with the info on where to find the astral pro-jellyfish, it turns out it can only be caught in Crystal Valley at night after interacting with some glow worms.

Preslie: "I've got this."

Let's see who catches it first, shall we?

You'll never believe who ended up catching it first.

Preslie: "It was me. Don't insult me."

Servo: "I can't believe it, either!"

All Servo managed to catch was seaweed, (in a lake?) but at least he got to meet Pruella. The Parsons now have an astral pro-jellyfish and have completed their fish collection once again!

It's a sad day in the Parsons household.

Zaylee: "I can't believe they're gone."

On the bright side, Servo received a golden egg from the coop! He also collected an obsidian egg, which means he can make obsidian eggs and toast!

Servo: "Thank you for the special eggs, my chicken friends!"

The girls are devastated about their grandparents passing.

...They literally look exactly the same as normal eggs and toast!

Coral: "I'm glad I'm a cat and don't have to do homework."

Preslie's caterpillars are almost fully grown! She's reading to them to speed up the process.

Preslie: "See what a beautiful butterfly you could turn into if you come out of your cocoon?"

Cedar is knocked out!

Ahh! There's so many adorable bunnies visiting the Parsons today! Servo must have a good name in the wildlife community after gifting all those flowers.

Preslie: "I'm off to release some moths!"

Surprisingly, this did not increase her entomology skill whatsoever. Bummer.

Fluff appears to have a spring in her step today!

Zaylee: "Hey, son! Are you here to move back into the nest?"

Tanner: "Actually, I'm here to mold clay and use the computer for 5 hours straight."

The rays of sunshine are home from school.

Ian: "Brace-let yourselves for this awesome jewelry I'm almost finished crafting!"

Next, he'll be joining the painter career in the 'patron of the arts' branch.

Paparazzi: "Servo! How does it feel to be joining the painter career?"

Servo: "Not so great now that I'm blinded by that camera flash. How will I be able to paint, now?"

Coral: "Servo had better be making a treat for me."

Cedar: "Hey, what about me?"

Preslie is back home from a weekend away at work and desperately needs a shower. On the bright side, at least she was promoted.

Preslie: "Forget that. I stink!"

Preslie now needs to work on her charisma skill for her career.

Preslie: "I'd love one! Maybe you should make one about plumbirds next-"

Astral Pro-Jelly-Vangelist: "FLIERS, FLIERS! ALL ABOUT THE ASTRAL PRO-JELLYFISH! COME TAKE ONE!"

Servo now needs to work on outdoor activities just like Preslie for his career.

Conner: "My job here is done."

What the heck did you spend 7 hours doing to the doorbell?!

Coral: "Forget about the doorbell. Why did no one share their food with me?"
Liam: "The pets will not leave me be, today."

Preslie also needs to begin working on her logic skill.

The telescope is the perfect place to start.

Servo is also the perfect one to help out with mentoring.

If you happen to be a dog and can't eat burgers, this burger chew toy is the next best thing. No, this is not an infomercial.

Servo is trying to add as much information about Henford-on-Bagley plants to his notebook as he can. They always seem to be out of season out in the wild!

Finally, this plant is in season!

So is this plant, even though this sim tried to harvest it before Servo. He's finally getting closer to completing the 'Country Caretaker' aspiration!

Speaking of which, Servo is giving the chickens a 'healthy treat' which should help them live longer! They're already elders and they still need to be around when the Finchwick Chicken Fair is finally in town, which isn't for a while.

Zaylee: "Come on, Cedar! Go potty near the fire hydrant!"

Cedar: "I'd rather wait until I'm indoors and then beg to use the potty at the door so that someone has to get up and open it."

Preslie and the fixer bot are working together!

Preslie is now raising four caterpillars instead of two in order to max out the entomology skill.

Preslie: "I love raising caterpillars!"

She also loves competing in archery competitions any chance she gets.

Preslie: "Oh, come on!"

Place your bets! My simoleons are on Servo. He's even giving everyone a head start.

Ian: "Hey! We don't need a head start."

Zaylee: "When I win this thing, I want everyone to bow to my feet."

And, they're off! Looks like Servo is already leading the way.

Ian: "My arms are getting tired already!"

Ian, what are you doing? Now you're far behind!

Everyone except Ian seems to be catching up to Servo!

Not for long, though.

Everyone is almost at the finish line!

To no surprise, Servo wins the kayak race!

Servo: "That sure was easy."

Liam: "I'm okay with coming in third."

Ian: "Okay, I made it! Did I win?"

Zaylee: "I know I talked a big game and then came in second last, so forget I ever told everyone to bow at my feet."

Preslie: "I'll take being second to Servo. That's still an accomplishment!"

Ian: "I came in last? Aww, man."

While the kayak race was going on, back at home, these two are obsessing over the fireplace together for absolutely no reason.

Aaand Bonehilda is vacuuming a puddle.

Preslie: "I need to catch some butterflies while I'm over here for my entomology skill!"

Speaking of skills, there's a telescope near the lighthouse that I just noticed! This is another perfect place for Preslie to work on her logic skill.

Ian: "Ahh! This tofu pad thai is spicy!"
Liam: "More spicy food? Didn't we learn anything from that spicy soup?!"

There's so many critters hanging around outside. They're so adorable!

Hooray! Preslie has finally reached level 5 of the entomology skill!

Doing this, she also completed the 'Critter Hunter' aspiration!

The Parsons had some golden eggs and toast for breakfast and now they're all shimmering gold? I did not expect that.

Ian: "The power of the golden egg compels me!"

Preslie: "I'm so shiny and golden and bright!"

I wonder how long the effects of the golden egg last?

Zaylee: "Everyone is going to be so jealous of how shiny we are."

Liam: "I'm shinier than the jewelry I'm crafting!"

Coral: "Why can't I have some golden eggs? I want to be shiny, too."

Aww, man. The effects have worn off.

Liam: "It was awesome while it lasted! Let's turn those blues into golden hues!"
